My name is Grant W. Lindberg and I graduated from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 1998. After graduation I attended Hamline University (1998-2002) and Hamline University School of Law (2002-2005) and received a Juis Doctor degree with honors. I am an attorney working in the areas of real property law, municipal law, estate planning, appellate practice and contract and commercial litigation.
I received the Clayton Scholarship and it was greatly appreciated. It meant a lot to me that people who didn’t even know me were willing to contribute towards my educational goals. It says a lot about the community, the generosity of those who participate in the program and their commitment to future generations.
After completing law school, my wife, Korey (Kruschel) Lindberg (CIHS Graduate 1997) and I moved back to Cambridge to be a part of the community we grew up in. I am a recipient of a Dollars for Scholars Scholarship and have presented the Lindberg & McKinnis Scholarship at the last two annual scholarship nights.
My name is Kyla Wilkes and I was a member of the 2006 Cambridge-Isanti graduating class. The Cambridge-Isanti Dollars for Scholars organization has been pertinent to my continued education beyond high school. I am currently attending Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and DFS has helped make this possible.
I received the Ryan Cunningham Memorial scholarship from DFS, which not only aided me financially, but also was significant because I attended the same church as Ryan Cunningham, the namesake of the scholarship. His family is part of my church community, and it meant a lot to be presented with the scholarship by Ryan’s parents: Pat and Marcia Cunningham. DFS did an excellent job of matching up scholarships with their recipients, and I am extremely grateful to them. With the aid of DFS I have been able to attend an excellent university and embark on a wide array of new experiences and opportunities in Providence, Rhode Island.
Cindy Szafranski, a 1994 Cambridge-Isanti High School graduate received a Dollars for Scholars scholarship and the American Legion Post #290 scholarship. She attended Cambridge Community College and finished her Bachelors of Science Degree at St. Cloud State where she received a Business Computer Information Systems degree. She joined Cambridge State Bank as vice president of technology in January 2000. Cindy has served as a member of the Board of the Dollars for Scholars Foundation since 2004.
"The C-I Dollars for Scholars scholarship was one of two scholarships that I received and I am thankful for the scholarship. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Cambridge-Isanti Dollars for Scholars for developing a scholarship program that grants scholarships to so many deserving seniors. The investment and recognition that our community makes towards our graduates is remarkable. I am very fortunate to live and work in this community and above all, I am delighted to be able to give back to Dollars for Scholars and support students that were just like me."
